In my opinion, Strictly Come Dancing has changed the dancing world. Before 2004, not only did few people participate in Latin or Ballroom dancing, but those who did (particularly ballroom) were seen as old fashioned. Now though, due to the success of SCD, ballroom dancing is becoming sexy and cool again (helped no doubt by the likes of Matt Di Angelo &hearts; and Mark Ramprakash.) It's also allowed people to make new groups of friends, through dancing classes and also online (Mavaria for example <3)

SCD is currently on tour and returns this autumn with the 6th series. Personally I can't imagine an autumn without it now, but I suppose it will eventually end. I'd love the end series to feature returning partnerships from the however-many series but for now, SCD shows no sign of stopping. =]
