I'm trying to get my husband to go camping to help keep the holiday costs down and the kids will just love it! He says no because the last thing he wants to do after working all year is sleep in a field in a tent. I say yes because it's a great feelilng being outdoors and if you have comfortable sleeping arrangements, have a good quallity tent, choose a camping site with a decent shower block, it's like an adventure for the kids. There's loads of other kids on camping sites and they all make friends so easy so we can sit outside our tent with a glass of wine and relax! So what are your opinions on camping? Love it, or hate it!

Personally I hate it because we don't have kids so its not the sort of environment we like to go on holiday to. Also I have a strong dislike of all things camping from the sleeping on an airbed to the lack of private amenities to the mosquito bites to being at the mercy of the weather. I have a number of friends with kids though and they love it, mainly because the kids enjoy it so much and its such a cheap way to have a holiday - sadly they as adults don't overly love holidaying in a tent but it keeps the kids happy and means they have more holidays per year than their friends. As the kids get older though they tend to move away from camping as the kids start enjoying it less and start wanting to go away to more hotel type situations.

My children get homework every night of the week, I never used to have homework in primary school and it seems unfair making them do it every night when they've been learning all day at school? What do you think?

I thought that they did give primary school kids homework? Even little things, like finding something for show and tell or revise for spelling tests. Keeping the mind active is the most important thing.

This is one of the pointless opinions where everybody gets to say something. Just to clear myself, I do know that it says peoples birthday on their profile.
