No they dont actively choose pets that look lke them but with time, the pets take on human characteristics and thats why they resemble the owners.

I think there's too much violence in all forms including rape being shown in films, TV shows and books. Children and young people are being exposed to it at all times, specially on television, as many kids have tellies in their bedrooms and are seeing things that are broadcast after the so called watershed. I say socalled because there are often unsuitable trailers for later programmes shown at teatime, and there is a lot of violence in Eastenders which is shown at 7.30 and on Sunday afternoons. Kids also have easy access to their parents DVDs which often have adult content.
