Dear Hollies2010, Thanks for your messages and replies to my polls and opinions. We hardly saw any of the snow recently but it has been raining a bit. I wrote my copy for the church magazine successfully and hope people reading it will get something from it as it was on lent which we are in at the present if you’re a Christian. On Monday 22 February, my close friend Tim took me to our local hospital for a Low Vision Eye department review appointment. During it they tested my eyes and found that my vision has changed and I now need to see the main eye consultant again on the first of April. They also gave me a stronger magnifier to use for small print. I came away a bit worried about what they said but as ever I was gently reassured by Tim who said that he will be there with me and we will cope with any diagnosis they make. It is a number of years since my eyes were last properly tested so I suppose I should expect slight changes. Not looking forward to the result if it means new stronger glasses as even with NHS vouchers, we may still have to spend money on them. Dear Hollies2010, We had a quiet Christmas just the way my twenty year old Son and I like to spend it as well as spending time with some of our close neighbours. Being with the neighbours was nice but not as relaxing as spending time with my close friends always is. I have just last week had dinner with my close friend and had a very enjoyable evening in his company. These friends have stayed supportive and caring throughout the last ten years and have extended their practical caring since we moved nearer to them a couple of years ago when my ex husband walked away. Glad I have found some new friends on here. Best wishes Lynn
