What will they think of next? How many remakes are they going to give us? Are there no originators out there any more? Have they lost the magic touch?
Hollywood and the film industry in general seem to have all but dried up of any imagination what so ever. All we seem to get these days are remakes of old stuff 10 and 20 years old. Even the original stuff does not, save for a few movies here and there, seem to have much worth. I don't think I could do much better but it's not my job - that which I do well. I find it very difficult to find a decent movie that has originality and worth these days.

Don't know - perhaps they can only make a good film if they've got a good book or story to base it on and there aren't many of those about these days either. Maybe it really has all been done now and it's become almost impossible to come up with anything uniquely different, maybe that's one reason there are so many remakes - but I wish they wouldn't do remakes of films which are already perfect, their message still clear and/or relevant, the script and acting impeccable. A fave old film of mine is The Ladykillers, made in 1955 starring Alec Guinness, Peter Sellars and Herbert Lom - a brilliant comedy that's still as funny now as when it was made - but the 2004 remake is an insult to the original.

We have 4 daughters, so usually I cook their dinner first and they all sit down at the table and eat together. I then cook our food and my hubby and I can sit and eat in peace. Its alot easier that way because we love spicy foreign food, and the girls love homecooked comfort food (sausage and mash, shepperds pie). But we all sit down together for sunday roast and that is all our favourite.

I'd bet, very few. Kids run the streets, parents don't seem to care, (although they probably do for the most part), It's a dieing pratice, I'm sure it was once the hub of the family home but now the heart of the home is in front of the t.v.
Ok, watch all those lifestyle programmes about property sales or development and it looks like everyone wants to make room for the dining table; and the t.v. Television stifles conversation and stifled converation blocks communication and in turn blocked communication strains relationships. The result? A Fragmented or broken family. Have you ever heard the term "reconstituted family"? Two parents with kids get together and become one family. It's all the rage. It's all the rage. It's all the RAGE.
