What is or was your natural hair colour? When I was a little girl I used to have blonde hair but as I got older it turned about darker and appeared to be more of a mousy colour, before it eventually started having grey streaks in it. I now have my hair highlighted not only to cover the grey hair but also because it makes me feel a little better about myself and I am sure it also makes me look younger.Are most ladies as vane a myself?

I was listening to a Canadian man speak last night and he said he felt that complaining had become a British disease and that we have forgotten how to be thankful for what we have. So I thought we could have a go at 'counting our blessings'. What are you thankful for? I'm thankful for a roof over my head, a garden to sit in, some reasonable weather, family and friends who love me and who I can love, people who I can share my heart with and who will speak truth to me when I need it, nice people to work with, a Church where I can have great friendships and be challenged to grow and to do things I might otherwise find difficult. So much to be thankful for I could go on all day. What about you?

My personal opinion on this topic (being a girl with both tattoos and piercings) is that it is a personal choice. I feel though on a personal level that tattoos although they are of course, permanent, are a constant reminder of the person you are and what you like. Of course when you reach your 50s/60s they are not going to look as good as they did when you were in your 20s but they remind us of the life we have lived and sometimes the things we have achieved or the people we have met. My tattoos will remind me of who I am and who I was as a young girl when I am older. I feel that you only live once and our bodies are just a means of transporting our souls to the next 'life' if you like. I don't see it as mutilation but art!
