I'm earing black socks with dark pink patches at the the heels and toes.

Purple long sleeved shirt (but no tie) and black semi-smart everyday trousers ... and hiking boots! (It's slushy out there and I've not changed out of my boots yet!)

I liked physics and maths best. These were useful in my studies to be an electronic engineer, but although I work as one I don't really use these subjects that much day to day nowadays.

What about you? How useful has your favourite subject been?

I have a fair collection of cactii and succulents on my bedroom windowsill and on the windowsill by my desk at work. I think they make the place look less sterile and when they flower they can be quite spectacular for a short time. Cactii also don't need much looking after. When they get too large you can either repot them or just pull off the sprouting bits and pot them separately to grow new ones. I've even grown some from seed, though it took 4 years for them to reach a decent size.

What about you? Do you keep some pot plants to brighten the place up? What sort?

Firstly, I'm a bloke and I wear shirts most weekdays and t-shirts at the weekends. But I like bold bright colours: bright blues, greens, pinks and purples. I don't like the muted pastel shirts that seem to be in fashion for men at the moment.

I'm going to go to the farmers' market in town and get some harissa-style garlic and chilli paste. It's a favourite ingredient of mine for stir fries and I've run out. Hard to get hold of, where I live. Then I'll pop into PC World. Not sure about the rest of the weekend. Depends on the weather, I reckon.
