Dont you just hate it, seeing young girls with orange foundation. And i would say that every girl has the potential to look fantastic but i just hate the wrong coloured foundation. You see pale skin on the kneck and you look at the face and all you see is luminous orange. It looks terrible. They are damaging theyre skin by completely coating it. Dont get me wrong im all for make up i wear it myself but it doesnt need to be plastered on, its supposed to enhance your features not cover them up completely.

Totally agree and its not just young girls, see some older ladies who know better also with orange faces and legs sometimes. I must admit I never got into wearing foundation and always found it hard to find the right shade and blend it properly so I always have and continue to, use a face moisturiser that has a touch of tanning agent and it just gives my skin a nice tint without turning it orange and it doesn't streak and means that I really have a clean skin without all the foundation on it which I love. Also can take it on holiday without having to cart a heap of stuff around. I think the problem is that girls don't tend to get taught how to wear makeup - often they just experiment and do what they think is right with no one to guide them. Great idea Keran, beauty counters can give them great tips and also tester products.
yes i agree with all you girls!,the orange thing as a make up doesnt look nice at all especially if the girl has a very pale complextion, any girl can look horrendous with to much make up on there face or as we put it here in the northeast too much SLAP on there face,i like girls with a bit make up on there face looks really good if applied properly, but this tango look doesnt do girls much justice and looks awfull,if it was my partner i would have to tell her that it didnt look nice, may be some men like the tango look on woman!,me certainly not!...................
I just think it is a shame that young girls don't realise until they get older, that they have the precious bloom of youth..carefully making up enhances their youthful good looks and as you said, it doesnt need to be plastered onto young skin, especially when there is the tell tale mark round the jaw where the foundation ends! Not a good look! you see it on older women too and boy does it look ten times worse! Thick foundation caking round wrinkles and jowls is not a great lidea. I guess even us oldies need some make up lessons sometimes..dawn, any more tips for us on how to look our best?
If you want to look like you have a real tan, not a fake one, either forgo foundation altogether, or put one on that's the right colour. Then use a good bronzing powder to add colour to your face. If you have darker skin and cant find a dark bronzer, then buy a shimmery face powder that's meant for dark skin, and dust that on to forehead, cheeks and nose. If you must use a darker foundation (and you really shouldnt) then mix it up with your face cream to get a tinted moisturiser./
never go more than 2 shades darker than your natural complection and you shouldnt look orange .im sick of seeing people walking down the street who are my age wearing bright orange foundation because they beleive they look brown i have a piece of advise for those girls buy a mirror and dont do your mak-up in the dark.theres no need for looking like you've been tango'd is there. anyway usually this happens with too much make-up applied so girls easup on the foundation anyone would think you put it on with a troul this morning .
Orange does not suit any colouring, blonde, brunette or raven haired. It looks totally unnatural and when compared with the skin colour on neck and hands it looks silly. It always reminds me of those adverts from the early 90s where people were Tangoed! It is vital to make sure thta if you choose to wear foundation, you ensure that it is the right shade for you. One way is to ask the advice of beauty counter assistants or if you select it on your own to try it on your face rather than your hand, as the two skin tones can be quite different.
Most young girls are never told how to find the perfect shade for their skin tones. You dab a blob on your neck, gently smooth it in and if you cant see it, thats the perfect foundation for you. Many people want to look tanned and mistakenly use dark foundation as the best way to get it. Tanning can be achieved by using a bronzer lightly brushed all over your face with a BIG brush, that gives you a healthy glow. The other mistake i often see among older ladies is lippy on the teeth. The next time you use bright coloured lipstick, put your first finger in your mouth and close the lips over it then gently pull out your finger. You will see all the excess lipstick on your finger and not on your teeth. Go to it girls... we will have the best looking team on Toluna!
