whether its classical, blues, acoustic or heavy metal, everyone in the world has a genre that they like to listen too.it has even developed into different music tastes for different nations: brit pop and indie for the brits, unless you live in bradford where its all heavy metal and leeds where its all old rock (like rod stewart). this proves that music has even developed into its own seperate countys, an ammazing feat. Because of this shared popularity that music has, it has become less a form of entertainment and more a form of relaxation, as people take it for granted. but what music is the best to relax too? does the area in which you live have an affect on this? if so why?
To relax, I listen to zen music. It is a mixture of harp, bird singing, wind blowing, water fountain. I light up candles and some encense. I lie on my sofa. I close my eyes. And suddenly I am on another planet or like in heaven. I forget the world ; especially the noise and all my troubles. I breathe slowly and I try to imagine the scene, like a Japanese garden where peace is everywhere. This virtual travel is very relaxing, I swear. Try it !
I have a real eclectic taste in music and when I am trying to relax with music I would select an album from any of the genres I have at home. At the weekend I may listen to soft rock type music or indie. On week days when driving to and from work I prefer to relax to the sounds of classical music, Erik Satie is one of my favourites as well as Frederic Chopin. At work I relax with those albums for chilling out and most of the tracks on those albums do the trick.
