Hi, I've just posted my first opinion topic on here and it's been pointed out that the topic has already been put on, only a week ago. Firstly, I want to say sorry! :-) Secondly, can anyone advise on how I can avoid doing this again, without having to read every single topic first? Thanks.
you,ll soon notice repeats, cos lots of newbies list what they think has not been asked, i,ll put my 2 p worth, seeing as Magnius has, no more Please- Anti - Smoking op, they,ve been bled dry
I don't mind related topics. gives us some where to post a second opinion on the same topic. or to add to what we have said earlier. Keep on going we all have to start somewhere...
As long as you don't ask question about Marmite I'll be happy :P We get the same "Love It" or "Hate It" question all the damn time lol. Welcome aboard :)
Why are you apologising? As long as you adhere to Toluna's rules you can post what you want when you want! There are always new poeple joining daily who may want to respond to your new but repeated topic.
As long as they don't come round too frequently then fine but as a newbie I thought you would have read back that far at least just to get a feel of things before you started posting.
sometimes you ahve to repeat a topic to answer somebodys comment on a previous opinion, there is no way we can answer an comment on an opinion, that is why sometimes we have to repeat it to be able to get our second opinion across
OOps sorry it was me who pointed out that the topic had only just been put up last week...I didnt realise you were new as i thought i had seen yr name lots of times...that must have seen quite unwelcoming and I apologise as i wouldnt want you to think that we are an unfriendly crowd coz we are not...but some of us who come on every day find it gets tedious when some topics are repeated ad nauseam ( specially th emarmite one as magnius said) and as lisa said, use ethe search box if not sure and please keep posting! X
When you list a topic it brings up on the right hand side, topics that are under the same topics and if you enter key words it also uses those to bring up a further list on the right of similar topics. Basically if you see something on the right has the same sort of heading as yours its worth checking it out by clicking on it and you will soon see if the same things has been posted recently. Don't take it to heart to be honest probably 2 or 3 topics everyday is a repeat of something we have already had in the last 7 days so it happens all the time, people just get a little sick of posting opinions to the same thing. Good on you for having a go though and don't give up.
