i thought of asking a totally random question, and i thought, whats more random, than what you had for dinner, and the answer is, what color socks you got on. But ill save that for another time =]. Anyway so what cha have for ya dinner last night ? i had.... trying remember.... Jack Potatoe and chicken o.o Yum XD my sister cooked it, im surprised i wasnt poisoned.
We had a Thai coconut veg curry with sweet peppers, courgettes, carrots, chick peas, onion, bamboo shoots and baby sweetcorn, served with long-grain and wild (black) rice - it was scrummy, not too hot, sweet and spicy. Then later we had - oh, not much of a dessert coz we were full, a cup of tea and a Tunnocks chocolate wafer biscuit. Then even later, just pigging out now as we definitely didn't need anything else, we had a glass of wine and a packet of plain crisps - would we still have eaten all that if I'd mixed it all up together in a bowl and served it all in one go? Yuk, don't think so!
Cold roast chicken on risotto with steamed potatoes last night and tonight was corn, peas, potatoes and and salmon. Ummmm. Just got a steamer so everything is getting steamed and its all been very very yummy so far and easier clean up than using pots and pans so really impressed. Also no oil had to be harmed in the making. Did the salmon beautifully, it was still nice and moisty and yummy and not overcooked. Tomorrow night doing some chicken in it with rice and chinese vegetables, with a nice little teriyaki sauce for the chicken when it comes out.
I had nut cutlet and salad, very enjoyable and some pitta bread....glad ya keeping the sock question for another time as it is too hot for them right now and they are not a good look with sandals X
We had crumbed sausages, mashed spuds, peas, fried egg(Naughty) and gravy. Its middle of autumn here so getting colder. I am looking forward to making warming food again.
Last night we had beefburgers in baps with salad and pizza fingers (for my little boy). Tonight we have had chicken fajitas and salad. The beefburgers were really yummy but tonight the chicken fajitas were really not nice and so my husband ate half of mine. I think tomorrow we are having a roast pork dinner. I like to be forward thinking and have the dinners planned well in advance. We have had a lot of salad lately with all the nice weather.
I made us some pizzas - with tomato and herb base, topped with cheese, then bacon, salami, mushrooms, ham, pineapple, red onions, yellow peppers, and more cheese! Made some garlic bread to go with it, along with a Russian style salad - tomatoes, onions, mixed peppers all sliced thin and mixed with soured cream (also made myself by adding lemon juice to whipping cream!). We enjoyed it thoroughly! Tonight I have lit the barbecue, and I have got some chicken left over that I roasted, with jacket potatoes and some more 'Russian Salad', and some Russian bread that I have defrosted (brought back from russia in January)! And Vodka! Lots of it!!
