Shawshank redemption, it makes you laugh, cry, feel all goey and sad, fantastic film, if you have not seen it well worth a shot.

Action-packed, quirky, funny, great music and Una looks great in that yellow jump suit. Plus she finally gets her "bl00dy revenge".

I also love many other films such as 13th warrior, The Crow, Braveheart and of course Saving Private Ryan. I love the films with Morgan Freeman esp the ones where he does a voice over. I don't like films which are overly gory or really scary but I do like the thought provoking films. Ones which kinda get to you long after the film has finished. The recent Marvel films have been good esp as my partner is a big Marvel fan and gets a lovely twinkle in his eye when he explains the 'true commic book' story. Of these I really enjoyed the Fantastic $ and the Spiderman 1 film. The kids play 'spot Spike Lee' in these films - good family fun.

I'm a big fan New Latin American cinema in general - Amores Perros, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Bus 174, Motorcycle Diaries - but I have to pick City of God as my favourite. Great characters, action-packed and beautifully yet brutally shot, it is one of my favourites of all time.
