I need to lag my loft hatch and have a large piece of polystyrene to do this with but I seem to recall that polystyrene is difficult to glue> What's the most effective glue to use to ensure that it doesn't come astray!
I would use no nails or the like. I would go to Wilkinson. They have Unibond No More Nails @ £4.75 for a twin pack at the moment. Might be worth giving the poly a coat of paint so it doesn't absorb the adhesive.
try 'unibond' ... from any diy store - it comes in small tins too and is water based so it won't destroy your polystyrene ... sticks like tar to your car!
I think it will be difficult to glue because it is porous and soaks the glue up, I think the best thing to do is ask someone at a DIY shop unless someone on here has got the answer.
You could use a strong exterior wood glue, my hubby uses it for everything, even glues glass to wood, or something like no more nails, thats powerful and dries fast too
