The Dr Who companions are very important to my enjoyment of the show. I was thrilled to see how well Billie Piper did as Rose and I thought her interaction with the two most recent doctors was brilliant. I was really sorry to hear she was leaving. As it turned out the next companion Martha played by Freema Agyeman was pretty good too, though Rose remains my favourite. What do you think of Catherine Tate as Donna Noble? I like Catherine Tate but I think she's been miscast as a companion. It was ok just for the one special but not for a full series. Should she have stayed with comedy and sketches do you think?
For me Catherine Tate doesnt work as she's just too gobby and its quite comical to watch her lumbering along behind the doctor when he runs.I dont think Martha worked very while either as she just came across as desperate most of the time when it came to the doctor. So for me Rose was the best and tbh I miss her in the programme and I think the programme misses her
I think Donna works as a companion because she brings somethign new to the role, most of the others have admired the doctor & had a crush on him (who wouldn't) but with donna it brings a whole new level to the doctor having a companion who treats him like any old person, Rose will still remain my fav companion though probobly because she was my first, Yes i never watched Dr Who untill the BBC brought it back
