Some of the obvious things like a newspaper. I would put an ipod with all the current tops hits and videos on it. I would also put in a fashion magazine so they can laugh themselves silly at what we were wearing. I would put in photos of me from childhood to adulthood so they could see the changes through the years. I would also put in some of the gadgets that we use and hope that they are collectable antiques by the time it is opened, maybe even some stamps as if they become rare they could be worth a fortune to whomever finds it. Also I put in a letter about what we believe are the greatest discoveries of our century, what a standard day looks like and what I do, what concerns we currently have about the world and the environment. Starting to look like a huge capsule now.
photos of my girls and mum and dad, and grandkids, then my grandads watch chain which i cherish, of course some of my gnomes would have to go in, some pics of my partner, i still have a couple of letters my dad wrote to my mum in the war, and i have my 1st mothers day card i got, i,m sure if i sat long enough there would be so much more,
In my dreams, and take me out of the chaos of this era, but if that isnt to be please stop the new runways for planes, cos what we really need are rokets to get away from the planet before the government have ruined it.
Time capsules are a great idea. When I worked in the building trade we used to leave them under the floors of some of the houses we built. We used to include the date of the building and photos of those involved in the building of it, brickies, sparks, plumbers and chippies etc. We used to write a little about each of us on the backs of the photos.
