As the average size is increasing in men they are not bringing out clothing to fit and be professional and smart without it costing a fortune. For example if you to M&S their XXXL range includes 5 shirts 3 pairs of trousers and a couple of jumpers. Big guys have self doubt the same and big women and the fact that they have little to choose from and often have to buy items that plain and only functional doesn't help. There are so many of them out there and these items always sell out so why don't the shops start putting in more stock and more choice. Its at the point at present where to find a big man's clothing retailer who specialises in the larger sizes they charge an absolute fortune. Women who buy a size 24 aren't financially penalised by having to shop at speciality shops that charge more so why should men who are XXL and above. Think that this gets ignored because men won't voice up about it as think other guys will heckle them.
My hubby is XXXL chest and XXL waist, and has difficulty finding suitable clothes that fit well, especially with a short leg length. The last time he bought a suit he had to have it made to measure. He also has difficulty finding shirts as he is a 22" neck. Casual clothing is not too bad as there is a shop in town that stocks up to XXXXXL clothing for men, but I have seen large ladies purchasing there too as many of the T-shirts, joggers, sweatshirts etc are unisex.
there is a shop in Beer in Devon and they have a website, they are called Osbournes ( Big and Tall for men ) they are a bit dearer but the stuff is very good quality,i think i have spelt it right,if you want to try the website try Osbornes/Osbournes,it should come up or search big and tall clothes for men,we have bought from there for a funeral and they are very good.
