I was thinking about this the other day.. Without setting any goals it's easy to just muddle along through life day-to-day and time flys by...before you know it Christmas is looming and then you're planning 'another' New years Eve! I'm 19 and I still live at home, so i've set my own goal for this year.. I'm going to move out and rent my own place with a friend (my parents are Brill don't get me wrong!) i've chatted with my mate about it alot so why not turn our ideas into action?
Just interested in what goals other people have in mind!
Im under the cosh to finish my book before christmas and get it printed and ready for that time. That my main goal at the moment but no doubt there will be others that crop up and i will pursue those.
My husband has just retrained to become a rigger and go to work on oil platforms. He is now looking for a contract out there and fingers crossed, he will find one very soon (otherwise, no food next month!!! hehehe). Our aim is to buy a house. We still do not own our own property and we feel that this is a major problem having to 'throw away' hundreds of pounds in rent every month. So hopefully, by the end of this year he will have a good job and by the end of next year we will own our own house!
At the moment I am 21 nearly 22 and my only plan is to go to the coast as often as i could, i really think you are right, the weeks fly past if we dont have some small goals in place apart from paying the bills, going to work and looking after my child and husband. I like to try to make some sense of days by doing things to make them memorable. I always have a list of stuff i need to do but that is more routine things, my overall plan for the year is to get another promotion so I can have more money so I am able to do more thinks I would like to do in life. I am sure you will have some fun and good laughs of your own just like me, let us know how you get on.
I want to have increased our household income by 30% which we are on our way to achieving. I want to have my husbands medical problems sorted and under control. I want to be well on my well to being 100% fitter than I am now. I want to end the year happy and content. Nothing big for me this year as last year my goal was to have moved countries which I did within the first 3 months of the year. :)
By the end of the year to have launched my album, to have a debt free existence, to have changed my car to the latest chyrsler grand voyager, to have gone on holiday to Spain with the family, to have sold at least a million copies of my album, to have moved into a six bed house debt free for family and I, to have let out our current house and of course for my account to be bulging.
At the beginning of the year my goal was to be more financially stable. I have NEARLY achieved this. I have paid off my three catalogue accounts and closed them. I have paid some more off my loans and some more off my credit cards and now been successful enough to cut one of them up. Also, i have even cut my hours down at work and still been able to achieve all this so I am quite pleased with myself. Hopefully one day soon I will finally be able to say i have no loans and I have no debts, but even as it stands I am proud of myself as I have done it all by myself and with no help from my hubby or parents.
