I don't believe in luck fully because i believe/ think that most good things only occur when you take the right actions. I do admit though, sometimes like winning the lottery is about luck (well i think so anyway. lol). Anyway i am trying to write as much as possible and all i want you to do is answer this Opinion- do you believe there is something like luck or do you think it is just a myth? Thank you for reading
I firmly believe that there are those who have been touched on the shoulder by the good fairies and are lucky. Everything that has happened to me has been "luck" because Ive never done anything to chase for something. It sounds like a brag but if I buy a raffle ticket, I always say "Im going to win such-and-such" and I do. Everyone then says "How does she do it?" or "Its a fix!" but truthfully, luck is generated by being open to the Universe. Its sounds New Age but I believe that once you make a request, it happens. I win 10.00 on the Lotto every week and 2.50 on Euro every month but the Big One has so far eluded me. My grandma said when I was born "This one will be lucky in her life and that luck will rub off on those around her." Im not complaining because I enjoy all the good things that luck brings my way. or maybe its a positive attitude that generates luck and gets us what we want. I dunno, its a debatable question that goes on and on.
I had great luck till I married my husband then his bad luck mojo overrode my good luck. He is very unlucky. He can enter competition after competition and not get anything. On the other hand when he is not around if I enter competitions and things by myself I win a disproportionate amount according to statistics. Prior to marrying him I won things all the time. $1000 cash for walking onto a car yard and looking at car. $3000 at a casino. Raffles here and there. Since I married him have only had the odd little thing but I only ever win when he is not involved and I do it by myself. Definitely believe in luck , both good and bad!
Do you believe in Luck? Well, I don’t but I don’t mind if you do, although I have sometimes found myself using phrases like…. “you lucky thing”, “Oh so lucky!” But they are merely expressions of half-hearted self-centred joyfulness. I neither believe in luck, yeah I said that a second time nor do I advocate anyone reading this… so you are on your own if you read this on Friday the 13th and a missile goes through you head and you die and land in Hell in Devil’s bedroom lying naked next to his warm skin on his fur bed surrounded by the fires of Hell and Devil’s slippery green mossy tail hissing over in slow meandering manouvers over your face? Chances are you’ll never come back to planet Earth to design a Web Standards compliant website nor talk of Web Accessibility or bitch and moan about the shitful IE or even take the micky out of ya mates on Flickr, what a shame — but then you would have Devil’s undivided attention wouldn’t you just and I’m sure he’ll keep you entertained!
For every action, there is a reaction! Sometimes 'luck' or 'chance' may help (or not!!), for example in playing cards, you may be lucky in being dealt certain cards but you still need the skill to play them! So it is in life. If it wasn't for 'bad luck' I would not have any 'luck' at all - honetly, if I fell in to a barrel of boobs, I would come out sucking my thumb!!!! Thinking positively, utilising your skills and experiences, and making the best use of your resources should generate 'good luck'. God, with my past history I sometimes think I am lucky to still be alive!
