ships have always been referred as female and galleonsfigures were mostly mermaids or wome, but also neptune, the god of the sea and protector of sailors. also most ships in the old days had female names. nothing to do with being sexist, they didn't have pc-madness then. that was just the way. it was considered unlucky to have a female on board, but not a female galleonsfigure.
What are you blabbering on about? Try constructing coherent comments. If you are asking why the jellyfish is called Man O War then the Portuguese Man O’ War is named for its air bladder, which looks similar to the sails of the Portuguese fighting ship ‘Caravela redonda’ (Man of war).
I suppose that ships for what reason have always been called she's. Some one needs to look into thisto find out why! At first it was only men that went to war and the ladies were left at home to do the rest. people give differant accounts of differant events during war. Everyone isdiffrant who did what and I suppose the female of the species came of worst on the story telling, !? Who knows what really happened all I know is my grandad did his bit so did his brothers and sisters and my dad had to grew up in it all.
i am also not sure what you mean ..but if you mean the sexist way things are called, these things were named Longggggggggg before we had P.C. ships are always i think She,s
