sorry, but i am on my soap box ...again, i am a smoker, but i only punish myself, i Never smoke when with others, can any drivers say that, especially the lorry drivers, and bus drivers ???? on way home walking from the shops today, a line of traffic and lots of car fumes, but worst, a lorry with fumes we could taste, honest..i do not tell lies !!!, it was so bad, and my partner has asthma badly, also the buses when stationary in the bus stops are as bad. and bad when they are running, my health is being ruined more by car - lorry - bus, etc. fumes than by my ciggys. ...o.k. i could go on, but almost time for a ciggy ..lol
Carol............you naughty lady for smoking. I read your post about being 'short' and now I know why!!! - no wonder you need a soap box to make yourself seen and heard............. lol !! Joking apart, I think that exhaust fumes are partly responsible for many childhood respiratory illnesses - all that pollution being breathed in!! I live in a rural area, but we still get similar problems although on a lesser scale. Big thumbs up to maccadees for cycling..............I realise I should get my bike out of the garage and do likewise.
