Having just perused the radio times, it seems that in fact repeats are in the minority. What is clear is that the majority of repeats occur during children's television periods. Perhaps the author of this question is seeing so many repeats because they have not yet hit puberty? Perhaps this is why the author is complaining about the license fee, they don't get enough pocket money to pay for it and buy sweets on their way home from school. My opinions on the license fee are a matter of public record, check my profile if you want to no more.
How can a TV company have the UK law changed to make it compulsary to have a TV licence when it only applies to the BBC? I would prefer to have advertisements (which I can choose not to watch) rather than have a huge bill every year. There are only a few shows on all of the BBC channels and the BBC radio which I watch/listen to and would prefer to do without if I has a choice to pay for the TV licence. Also - going off on a tangent but - How can they know which house has a TV licence and which car has a road tax but there's no way of knowing how many illegal immigrants there is in this country?? Sorry for the rant!
definately - we seem to only pay for bbc - and that channels is rubbish - let them get advertising money like all other channels - they advertise their radio and tv programmes enough and i hardly watch any bbc channel - and very little radio
I think it is silly that we pay so much for a TV license, then pay extra to get Cable or sky etc, only then to pay more to get certain channels we want. With the economy the way it is, I wish someone would give us a break!!!
