Efficiency of the NHS

They do try their best, if anything blame the goverment NHS need more cash!!

depends on your postcode now instead of all being fairly treated

People criticise the NHS and in some cases for good reason...but put it into perspective people...at least we have one!!!

Too many chiefs & not enough indians. Sadly a great shortage of nurses

Not efficient nowdays. As an ex employee I've witnessed first hand how sucessive Governments have slowly brought the NHS to its knees. Managers are two a penny but the wards are vastly under staffed (of skilled nurses). Consequently, standards have slipped and patient care has suffered. Vast amounts of money has been spent on reaching targets etc. money that once would have been spent on patients.

Cut out the outlandishly paid non caring management, decentralise to local health Boards bring back Matrons to keep an eye on there particular areas to manage the waste that goes on and the cleanliness this would work a lot better than the existing system

Its about as good as it can be - lets face it its free - i say we get rid of the NHS and make people pay for their help (Poor people would naturally die out and thered be more for the rest of us!!)

if someone needs a heart operation can they not see that is serious? they cannot just keep waiting saying its fine..... what if they end up dying. THEY ASKED FOR YOUR HELP. and u r meant to give it too them not make them wait till its toolate.

what efficiency my local hosp almost killed me last year

The staff "on the floor" are efficient - too many overpaid & unknowledgeable bosses for the system to be efficient
