Karma, a sanscrit word remains the decider of our past, present and future state of mind within the three worlds. (The lower, middle and higher planets), it is a fact that karma relates to ones thoughts, words and actions. All these comes from the position of the mind, and the non-ability to control the mind positively. There are two types of Karma - Negative and Positive. Karma teaches that ones past life determines ones present life and ones present life determines ones future life. Karma cannot be stopped but can be refined into the highest consciousness with which one transcends all material boundaries. To avoid negative karma, one has to follow the law of retributive justice-do unto others, what you want others do unto you. Also, he who calls the piper pays for the tune. This also depends on what stuff of tune you called for.
I'd believe a lot more in karma if all the complete bastards I have ever met in my life didn't have such wonderful lives full of so much when I'm finding out in the check-out line that I can't even afford to buy eggs. What the hell did I ever do to piss off karma that I'm so broke I can't even put the basic foodstuffs in my kitchen? I'd believe in karma if just once something good would happen in my life that would give me a reason to get up in the morning. I'm looking at my house and there's so much that needs doing, we can't afford that, either. I see my neighbours doing things and going places and the most exciting place on my horizon is another trip to the hospital for hubby to have another check-up. I smell the barbecues and envy the people who can afford a bit of meat to cook. I see the women in the neighbourhood buying an ice cream in the middle of the day and wishing like mad that I had just ten pence to get myself one of those cheapo ices from the bottom of the drawer. But it isn't going to happen. There isn't going to be anything good coming into my life, there isn't going to be any nice meat, no barbecues, no ice creams, there's nothing coming my way and I keep wondering what we did to piss Karma off so much that we can't even have some eggs. Any ideas?
I think people make their own luck to a certain extent. The problem with Karma is its hard to measure. Many people are horrible to others all their life and yet end up with lots of money a great family life and high self esteem, others are very giving all their lives and end up being used and neglected. In the modern world the most successful unfortunately appear to be the most arrogant and self confident. They rarely seem to be punished for putting others down in fact they often seem to be rewarded for it.
I used to until I met the most malicious, self absorbed people who constantly screw others over and rip off every system there is. In the 7 years I have known these people they have never had anything but good luck and things just fall into their lap and the opportunity to use people.
Karma may be building up but its getting to the point where the only fair swing around would be for them to be hit by a bolt of lightening and be frazzled to crisps. These people made me change my belief in karma as they never suffer any karma for the pain and anguish they inflict on the people in their lives and that they deal with.
