Home Made Ice-Cream

Firstly let me say - I'd love an ice cream making machine and would probably try all manner of weird and wonderful flavours. Here are some idea that don't seem to be too odd but I'll throw in some unusual ones for you too.
- Maple syrup and walnut - this is my favourite ice cream
- Pistachio
- Coconut (have you guess that I like nuts yet?)
- Peach and Pear (I make this as a sorbet and it's lovely)
- Water melon (I make as a sorbet so not sure how it would go as ice cream)
- Try CARROT ice cream. I know it sounds weird but carrot juice is quite nice and sweet
- Coffee flavour and put in some whole chocolate coated coffee beans
- Jelly Bean flavours - pick your favourite and then put some whole jelly beans in it
- Mocachino (coffee flavour but put choc chips in it)
there you go, let us know what else you finish up making and how it turns out!

Hi madkat, I wasn’t too sure what I was going to suggest because I got too carried away drooling over the other suggestions...Lol any way what did eventually pop in to my head was the idea of crushing a crunchy bar in to the mix or even some maltase’s maybe even a touch of bailies yum I want some now. Can I put my name on the list for taste testing at your place please? xx lulu

How about rhubarb and ginger,or melon and ginger, you could us crushed ginger biscuits in either for a bit of texture.

If you have something that can crush a candy cane, peppermint is lovely when added with a bit of vanilla and choc chip. I can't believe you're not doing some strawberry since they're in season at the moment.

Can we all come and sample and give a report then madat? Try mango flavour with passion fruit.strawberries are plentiful now and gooseberries.have fun, and don't get too fat!!!

i dont think i should add my suggestion, people may vomit, lol. but what the hell, what about haggis flavour, or roast beef? lol i couldnt resist sorry

I couldn't own an ice cream machine as I would pile the weight on from eating it constantly.

My favourite ice cream flavours at things like macadamia nut, almond & honey (thats easy for you to make), pistachio, rhubard, beetroot (cooked then cut up)

hi madkat, i was hoping this was a nice reciepe for some lovely icecream, so i think you need to invite us all round for ice cream sampling!!! sounds really good to me?
all the ideas below sound so nice im going to have to send out now for some ice cream! now look what you have done haha
i have never had an ice cream machine, are they easy to use?

I've never had home made Ice cream are there any free samples on the go. Nikkis toffee and honeycomb sounds nice .
How about Aubergine and asparagus.

maybe try making some kind of toffee flavour, or somethin a bit different, honeycombs nice, but i've never tried making ice cream so i wouldn't know if it would work, oh and maybe you could make some fruit sorbet sort of things ??
