I think it is difficult to define as there are lots of famous examples of 'good leaders' who appear to be very different and have different styles of leadership. I think a leader should lead by example and behave the way that they expect their team to behave. They should be sincere and authentic so that their followers understand what is expected of them but also know that they will receive support when they need it. A leader will be a good communicator and will be able to take other people on the journey with them, they will care about their followers but won't be afraid to tackle problems or poor performance.
Someone who is a good communicator, who understand how teams work, who has the specialist knowledge appropriate to the task and who is able to motivate others.
Mmmm! Interesting that you're doing a course but you haven't given any qualities yourself. Why don't you just think of someone who you think is a good leader and put those down as your answer.
Not sure really. I suppose it's primarily being confident enough to get other people o follow you. People tend to confuse leadership with all sorts of business-speak mumbo-jumbo, but it's got to be mostly down to having the respect of the people you're leading.
Only answered this because it was on 19 actually, so at least you'll get some points for my vague ramblings.
Knows exactly what they are doing so that others can take the lead. Someone that motivates a team, remains calm and listens to others...no chance than were I work then..he hee..
the best teachers I have ever had have all been: 1) Genuinely euthausiastic about their subject 2) Approachable 3) Friendly and light hearted 4) A good understanding of their subject. These qualities are all you need to be a good teacher
