i have been crafting for many years everything from knitting, crocheting, sewing, to scrapbooking and my real love and favourite craft cardmaking. i have just finished making 40 christmas cards. i never buy greetings cards and make arround 150 cards a year. i know from the crafting forums that i use that many people craft i just wondered if there are many crafters use toluna.
thats what i do too. i love making them as well, i also make all my own christmas tags for pressies, and what i use is some of the last years cards,i put ribbons and bows on the m and sparkly bit and all my family and friends love them now a few of my friends do it too.
i would really like to get into card making as i think the prices of cards in the shops are absolutly ridiculous, i spent 10 pounds on the most expensive card ever, it was a speacial anniversary card for my mum and dad but i could have spent that on getting some equipment for making my own cards and it would be more personal. where do you reccomend to get bits and pieces for making cards, any tips?
i love to do cross stitching . i have done loads of cross stitching patterns .when i have finished i frame them and stick them on my walls when people call round they allways complement on how nice they look and how they must have been hard to make.
I have tried & do many different types of crafting including knitting. crocheting, card making, scrapbooking, sewing, dressmaking & so on. Crafting is fantastic and it helps develop your artistic skills - even when you don't have any, like me!! I took up cross stitching when I developed back problems as a means to get me to slow down. Now it is my time to escape from the world (with a good tv programme) & relax, as well as making wonderful, personal gifts for friends & family. I cannot imagine not spending some time crafting & escaping to my own world!! Everyone should try it!!!
hi mimic1, i dont really have many hobbies but i do enjoy a bit of card making!!! i took it up for a couple of weeks and really enjoyed it. i even started to watch the craft channels on sky!!! i found it quite expensive to buy all the things i needed though so now i have stopped doing it so often. i do feel that a handmade card is more personal though dont you? i have never done anything like crocheting or scrap booking but i did learn how to knit from my nan a few years ago, altough the only thing i can knit is a scarf lol xx
WITCH CRAFT. . . . . only joking. I guess photography devving your own is a craft, as is genealogy as that's kind of scrapbooking in a more purposeful way.
