we are always extremely careful about how much energy we use in our home. We have always been more inclined to start using the heating only when it is really necessary. We have blankets to snuggle under in the living room, we put extra layers of clothing on, and even when we do use the heating in our home, we only heat the room that we are in at the time, usually the living room (which is linked to the bedroom) and the bedroom. We also have economy 7 heaters, they are very useful.
same im afraid,im going to put on an extra layer, the prices of gas/elec is really bad at mo its the pensioners i really feel for they need to have it on the situation is dreadfull!!
I am concious of the gas and electricity prices now. Although I have managed to cap my price about 2 months ago so mine will not go over a certain price. Not sure when this will benefit me if it doesn't already. We have to have the heating on full blast in the winter though as my husband comes home from work like an ice block and I am not exaggerating. He is frozen, and I amke sure the house is hot for him when he gets in, some nights the only way he can warm up is by going to bed. We have a water bed so before he comes home I turn the temperature up on that for him as well, so for me it is going to be hard as I want to make sure that after my husband has worked really hard bringing home the bacon as they say for his family that at least he can come home to a warm house for him to warm up. I am sure I will figure it out.
