Well it has been about a week now since then changes have come into place here at Toluna. Now we have all had time to adjust what do we think? Has it been a good or bad thing? I have seen some members reporting getting bonus points for usefulness votes around 2500 points which is great news for those who have received them. But what about the changes in general. It does seem as if they listen a little as they changes the ruling for the popularity contest but are we happy or not with the new system? I have got used to the new layout I am yet to see about the points yet - will know when they award the points on the monthly basis.
I can't get used to the new toluna and find it much harder to use then the old one. My biggest problem is how to see all the opinions that people have written. If I post an opinion I want to read other peoples first so that I don't repeat too much of what has already been said, I find this most unhelpful if I have asked for opinions. I also like to read the opinions other people have on topics that I have posted. I can only seem to manage to get 1 opinion on view. I may be being really stupid but nothing I have tried has worked. Can someone point me in the right direction?
No i havent but then i havent been online much.. i see it is still taking an average of three attempts to post an opinion .The layout doesnt seem quite as confusing now, and I read that Toluna are modifying the new rules..if so, that has to be good news. But whatever happened tot he Forum promised ages ago?
hi angharad,i wouldnt say i am used to the new system, as i havent been on toluna as much as i was before, the whole thing just put me off, the fact that submitting an opinion was vertually impossible, and although it doesnt take as long, i still tend to have to submit my opinion a few times before it sticks, also the delay in sending out vouchers is quite annoying, i have never had any problems with the time it takes to send out vouchers, until now, and also the points system, knowing some members have been given popularity points, for being "useful" when others are given nothing, i dont see this as being at all fair, but hey, that is just my opinion.
Still in two minds but not so much around the new site which I have come to terms with and like but more around their ongoing lack of customer service and huge delays in sending vouchers and also the fact that some people are getting points and others aren't. Personally I haven't been one of the one lucky enough to get usefulness points so either I am useless or I am not getting points - either way not an improvement on previously but there is still the monthly allocation which is really going to determine whether I stay or go - of course if I don't get my July vouchers then I will probably stop using anyway.
