something needs to be done. As much as it is now expected to release these people back in to society, the local neighbourhoods are going to feel safer knowing that the perpetrators ARE prevented from getting these dangerous urges and putting communities at risk
Castration alone will not stop them hurting childre, so I think they should be locked up for life. Releasing them amongst children, when they have had not rehabilitation, seems to be the worst we can do, but that is what usually happens.
Absolutely, society doesn't need people like this doing more harm. Most convicted offenders are repeat offenders so yes take away their desire by castrating.

It would never happen but it should coz i personally think that a kids right to be safe is greater than a preaditors right to own testicals. Tagging and monitoring of offenders is unreliable and with the invention of the internet kids are more at risk these days. Castration wont automatically solve the mental problems these sick individuals live with but if it could prevent future victims then bring out the scalpel!
Yes, I think they shoudld be without a shadow of a doubt. I would agree that it is borderline impossible to rehabilitate the majority of peodophiles and that there are too many loopholes with the sex offenders register and the laws surrounding it. I think that for one offcence, a paedophile should be imprisoned, and the automatic law should be that they be castrated if they reoffend. If this was a known fact within society, paedophiles would be a lot less likely to commit offences. Its amzing how having a child stengthens your viewopoint.
Yes but only as a last resort... which I suppose it is as they are a repeat offender. If they cant control themselves and/or can understand that what they're doing is wrong then they should be castrated if everything else has failed
