Did your parents and grandparents tell you loads of white lies when you were a child? I remember my grandmother looking in my ears (or more often my brother's ears) and saying they were so dirty we'd have potatoes growing out of them. I half believed her, and used to be seriously concerned if I swallowed a plum stone, that I might have a plum tree growing in my stomach. I was also taught that eating crusts wopuld make my hair curly and my teeth strong. I can't have eaten many crusts, because my hair is dead straight!

Respect your elders, then it was changed to respect those who respect you. Mum and Dad saw how respecting your elders can get a child molested.
dont walk/run with your hands in your pockets...if you fall you'll land on your face and your teeth will get knocked out!
that i shouldnt put the little pens u get from agros in your mouth because people mayb have stuck them in their ears. I feel werid about argos pens till this very day
that my easter eggs were outside as the bunny couldnt get in, when really they were hid from my dad

Be quiet, polite don't mix with common children and do your best at school. Don't argue with your sister. If you can't eat it all don't force it down leave it.
always go out with clean under wear on in case you had an accident. also dont come running to me if you fall and break your leg, i could never understand that one

lots of things when we was driving in the car my dad told us he could make the moon move but really he was turnin a corner fooled us for ages
