What was the first car you ever owned or drove.? Mine was a lime green ford Anglia, way back in the times before seat belts were even in the cars. I remember driving all my friends around in it and one of the back doors flew open, luckily the friend in the back seat remained inside the car but it was definitely a close shave. After that I used to tie the door shut with a piece of rope. Not quite in the same league as todays car and definitely not the same stringent road worthy tests in place.
My first ever car was actually a truck. It was a 1993 Ford Ranger. That truck was the best vehicle I have ever driven. It still runs today at 16 years old but the gas mileage is killing me so I am planning on trading it in for a Ford Fusion.
I only learnt to drive about a year ago, and insurance was going to be extortionate on nice cars, so I got myself a 10 year old 3 door Saxo, in blue. It's a handy little runaround and gets very good mpg, which is quite useful at the moment. Hopefully it will keep on going for a few years yet, never failed an MOT so far!
My first car was an Austin A40 Tourer in the early 1950s, the greatest fun car I have ever owned, I would love to own one now to bring back good memories.
