just wondered how many like to have a flutter on the horse or dogs, or bingo, .. i,m not meaning the lottery, i only do that, but what do others like to do ??? + to the ones who do, R U Lucky ???
I used to love going to the horse races when we had our own horses in them as it gave it a whole new angle. Unfortunatley not living in my home country I now only get to see our horses on the videos and tv and don't tend to bet on the races anymore but I did love having a day at the races as it was quite a cheap day if you just bet on each race for an entire days entertainment. Never really gotten into dogs as found it too unreliable from an odds point of view and found that the gate number played a big part in their results. Have played online bingo but gave up when I stopped winning and didn't want to lose money on it.
I did gamble a bit online, as in a lot on tennis and some on snooker and football and I can guarantee you I am definitely not one of the lucky people as shown by the amount of money I have lost! It is far too much money to even think about going back on it again! There is something about the thrill you can get from it, which I think people can become addicted to, it makes all sports so much more intense and so much more worth watching! As I said to a different opinion in regards to gambling I find that because you cannot see the money, it is easier to spend it than if you had it in your hand!
I have up to a fiver a week on the horses at the bookies. Biggest win was £200 twice. But I have four days a year at the races. I allow myself £100 for beer, food, entrance fee and betting. I always have at least £20 left when I get home. About one meeting in four, I break even or make a profit. York meeting tomorrow July 11th. Just hoping for good weather and a 33/1 winner which I had at Haydock last September.
yes I gamble but only after I have studied form. I always pick the 3 winners at the Grand National and the Derby but my bets are modest ones because I am also a very safe person when it comes to money. I do the Lottery and Thunderball and this brings in a tenner or a little more each week but so far not the Big One. My partner never gambles and is horrified that I spend 4.00 a week. I think he was a priest in his before life because he is so disapproving of things like that.
