I dont believe in a person called God, an old man with a long beard, I believe in a force,energy or source which we are all part of and all belong to and are connected by. You may feel you never get anything you ask for, but probably your basic needs are met in that you most likely have enough food, drink and shelter.Everything on top of that is a bonus! Maybe the extra things you ask for,you are not being specific enough. If you send out a very detailed and firm request detailing exactly what you want, there is a good chance it will come, if you hold the belief it will come, and show gratitude for what you already have. It has worked for me lots of times. be grateful for all you have, write down clearly what you want and give details, be focused and believe it will comea t the right time.You might be happily surprised! There is a lot of truth in the Cosmic Ordering theory..if it works for me, it will for you!
Isn't the purpose of praying not about getting everything you want but getting guidance and help and support. I think if you think that god is like a big payout machine then you will be very disappointed as all my church upbringing was that god is there to support and help you make the right decision etc not a provider. You are required to make your own choices and work for what you want. I think that your question composes two entirely different questions - one why is god not listening to you and whether or not he exists. I have no idea if he does exist as dont' follow religion since hitting my teens but don't entirely disbelieve in some power etc.
A very divisive question. All the ‘evidence’ that believers will give you is flimsy at best, there is no actual solid evidence to prove that he exists in any way, shape or form. If you really sit down and think about God, you will realise that the very concept is absurd; it just doesn’t make any sense. For one, if it exists, has it always existed, or did it just pop into existence on day? And if it could just pop into existence then surely the universe could of too, without help from a God. If it exists why do cultures from all over the world have such differing opinions on what it is? To me it is obvious, there is NO God. Man made God, not vice versa.
