I wonder does your religion frown on women showing their shoulders? I only ask because it seems a strange question to ask. My upper arems leave a lot to be desired and I look for tops and dresses that are short sleeved. Unfortunately evening wear and summer wear usually is designed with sleeveless or thin straps. I try to cover mine with a shrug but only because they are ugly. I see nothing wrong with women exposing their shoulders or arms if they wish to.
I must agree with the others what a weird question. you say it like its wrong to wear shoulderless dresses and tops .I sincerely hope you are not suggesting they are asking for unwanted sexuall attention.I suggest you go to the doctors and tell him you have a problem he will be able to help you or my goodness what happens to you on the beach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are some really odd questions on here tonight, Sundays seem to have a funny affect on some people. Do you have a problem with bare shoulders?, some women have got very nice shoulders, why not show them off.
I think it's very feminine and sexy to show the shoulders off because it's like another hint as to whats underneath the clothes, just like low cut tops around the cleavage end and the cuts in skirts that reveal more of the legs. I think it can look very sophisticated, beautiful, sexy and glamourous, but sometimes can just look slutty and tacy!
i agree with mydogvixen..also i think it makes you look more glamourous and sexy...you see it in old films like the BOND films so women copy the look....
II think it looks nice when you are young and have pretty shoulders and arms, and it can show a tan off .I guess that is why women display their shoulders! Many lovely dresses and tops are available now in off the shoulder designs...even bridal dresses. My shoulders are still quite nice, but my upper arms are not as slim as they used to be ,so i tend to cover up, like yesteryear says, hey,but if you have got it ,flaunt it! specially in the summertime! It looks lovely and must be nice and cool on hot days.
Some big women give me evils when I show my shoulders and i'm fed up with it! Its practical to wear less clothing in summer as long as we aren't showing our midrifts and dressing in bikinis what's the problem? Modesty is back in fashion where I live, but i'm not prepared to dehydrate and go wrinkly for any of them....I don't like sipping water a million times a day.
What a weird question. No. Some tops or dresses especially over summer will be sleeveless which will cause a bare shoulder but its not something I specifically go for and not sometime that we talk about when we are discussing what we will be wearing out. Dressing nicely is more about an overall appearance than one particular body part.
