Do you remember when you were really little what you wanted to be when you grew up? Did you fulfil your dream? I always wanted to be a vet because I loved animals from an early age, but alas did not get the right qualifications. I think I probably changed my mind a few times as I got older but the vet was the earliest dream. What was yours?
I never really had a set dream as a child, my parents never pushed me towards anything and when I was in high school I thought working in banking would be good as wouldn't need degrees to do it and there was always jobs going and that was where I spent the last 16 years working. Now working in finance which is slightly different as not working in the big corporates so a different work environment and no targets and all very much more relaxed.
i remember an amazing ammount from my childhood but one thing that really stick with me is that i always dreamt about getting some of those bright pink plastic high heel mules and i never got them - i was such a deprived child
My childhood dream was to own my own horse. Or have one of those antique rocking horses. Sadly this never happened. Although i did manage to work in a livery stables for a while.
Mine was to be a boxer even from a very early age,I will always remember pestering my dad to watch Barry Mcguigans world title fight in Mexico and going to bed that night and being woken up as the fight started I think I lasted thirty seconds of the first round before I was spark out asleep again, and having to find out the result from my dad.
I wanted to become a nun until i started questioning the bible and getting into deep trouble for it.....now i have now time for the church and my beliefs are where they want to be...in wicca
i wanted to work on a deli counter, i used to be fasinated with the way the ladies put the ham etc in the bag and twirled it over to secure the bag!! AND I ALSO REALLY WANTED A GO ON THE TAPE MACHINE, WHERE IT SEALS THE BAG (LIKE THE TAGS ON BREAD) SAD I KNOW, AND I ALSO WANTED TO BE A NUN, GLAD TO SAY I TURNED OUT NEITHER A A BAG TWIRLER OR A NUN!!!
I wanted to be a Nun, much to the horror of my parents, who had to put up with my sermons about waste, cruelty to animals and people, world situations and I think they probably rolled their eyes at each other and said "Did we produce this?" By the time I got to 13 I grew out of it and decided that becoming a movie star would suit me better! At I6 I discovered english literature and dreamed of becoming a writer. Im nearly there!!
