this country is going crazy,how are normal working class people supposed to cope with all these price increases,the saying is true the rich get richer.
Yeah definitely but we will have to make do,its only when the rich start losing money that we may start to see things happen in this country that might benefit eveyone.
This happens in cycles. We have good financial times then we have slumps when everything gets too expensive and we got into a recession and then we come out again. Unfortunately we tend to remember the bad times more than the good. It is extremely unaffordable at the moment - I am extremely glad it is just me and hubby as I would be very concerned if we had kids as we wouldn't be providing them with much at the moment. Just hope the pay rises will be proportional to the increase in cost of living that we are suffering at the moment.
I agree, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I thought I earned a reasonable wage but I'm beginning to wonder now how long I'm going to be able to keep my head above water. My household consists of five adults, two dogs, four cats and some reptiles. I have a mortgage to pay and a car to run so that I can get to work. My wife works part time and my daughter works full time. One of my sons is at college and works one or two days a week part time and my other son is just leaving school before he goes to college in September. We have a quite sizable food bill each week and have had to cut back on luxuries. My wife is talking about going back to work full time to help out but I don't tinks it's fair she should have to do that. She always seems to be busy with either her part time job or housework. We are paying more for our goods and services but when it comes to our pay rises they will still be below the rate of inflation. We seem to be on a loser which ever way we turn.
