If you are going to criticize others, make sure YOU get it right! As for the question, I hate being called British. I was once asked by a yank if I was a Britisher. Where’s this country BRITISH?? I was born in England, but my grandparents on my father’s side were Irish, and two of my mum’s grandparents were also Irish. But, I consider myself to be English, as I was born here. There is actually no country called Britain, We all live in “The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island”. As part of the British Isles, Great Britain is the largest of those islands. One of the reasons I always write English on any forms.
