I recently completed a survey sent to me by Toluna which asked questions about motor insurance. Less than an hour after completing it I received some junk email about motor insurance! Has anyone else experienced this lack of privacy? I know some users have reported seeing their details on Google after registering and I'm now very concerned about the privacy policy of this site.
it is most probably a coincidence,i have ticked my box on my account page and it isn't coming up on google now,so maybe it is starting to work,i think all these teething problems are quite annoying but you will get that with any web site
I think info given to any opinion poll org. should be strictly confidential. There should be no tic box options. I must admit I have not found my info being given out by any other organisation but have yet to get to the end of a Toluna one.
According to Toluna, they are right now working on removing our opinions from Google, but unfortuantely, up to a few days ago,anyway, they were still there on Google, large as life..as for your junk mail,if it came less than an hour after you completed the survey on motor insurance, surely it would be a day or two at least, before you received junk mail about motor insurance..did you mean through the post... or did you mean it was in your inbox?
