Mercury, Venus, and Saturn will all appear lined up directly above the Giza pyramids on December 3rd 2012 and it only happens once every 2737 years. I cannot wait for the pictures!
1. It's not going to look anything like the picture, as the planets will appear nearly vertical with respect to each other. 2. To view the alignment at Giza, you'd have to be standing to the north-west, and the pyramids will appear far more spaced out. 3. This sort of alignment happens fairly often. The figure of 2737 years is misleading.
Hi Flossie, nope mate l escaped and am masquerading on here as hackney173003!! How absolutely gob smackingly exciting!! Fantastic to think that the ancients may have lined up these monstrous erections exactly in line with the planets. Surely it cannot have been mere coincidence. I guess they marked out the base squares at the same time and thus builders who came along in later years knew where to put them. It will be well worth the dosh flying to the hotel that overlooks the pyramids to get a gander at this spectacular. Hope they have better weather than England on the night or what if it is cloudy???
you bet I'm excited, and building them anyway must have gone on for years after the planning bloke who'd lined them up died, mustn't they, so how did the ones who lugged the last stones in place know what on earth they were doing it for. Maybe you didn't ask questions 2737 years ago. The bloke I was reading went on about how the Mayan date December 21st 18 days afterwards was amazingly significant too, which all went above me, as 18 was 6+6+6(?) and a 4 sided pyramid is a sixth of a cube(?) and loads of similar stuff which got him excited too. In fact I think they locked him away
just think no one else will see it again for nearly 3000 years i will feel priveliged to be alive at this time and see it cant wait to see it ill be watching tv going on net anything to get best pics
