I am not a big fan of chic-lit, but picked one at random from my local library. It happens to be “Remember me?” by Sophie Kinsella. I recognised her as being the author of the ‘shopaholic’ best sellers. I was very impressed by her lively descriptive powers in the opening chapter and am looking forward to reading the rest. My question is … which of her novels have YOU read, and what is YOUR opinion of her work? I look forward to reading your opinions. Cheers.

I asked this question on toluna last month and not many people had read or were fans. I LOVE her books and style, have read them all and can so relate to the shopaholic a am a bit of one myself! Waiting for her new one to come out in paperback before I buy as hate heavy hard books. Most of my mates have read and are fans. They're such easy reading and so make me smile

In these days of identity theft I am very conscious of wishing not to give away too much personal information. I understand why Toluna needs my date of birth to be able to generate statistics by age group. This is fine with me because they provide an option for me to hide my D.o.B. from my public profile. However, there is a problem because they do not actually hide my age … if you are visiting this opinion and look above you will be able to see an age. I have written to Toluna about this and suggested various ways to over come this. What do you think?

Well I guess it does that so that people know how old the person they are talking to is. But I had to sign up if I was over 18 and I am 16.

Are you cookie conscious? I mean computer cookies of course – those tiny little bits of text information that websites cause your browser to create and that might later be stored on your hard-drive. I have set my browser’s security options to allow all cookies (because otherwise a lot of sites fail), but have ticked the option that erases them at the end of my browsing session. I have also disallowed third-party cookies. How have you set your browser security settings for cookies?

I do not honestly know what our home computers setting are set at as my partner set it up but I do know we have recently installed a web washer programme which he had at his work in the interest of security and it basically cleans the system totally, including all history and cookies at the end of each session. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to finish depending on the length of the time we have been on and the amount of surfing that has been done but it was worth it and we have no problems now with items being stored or placed on the computer such as possible bugs etc which if they do not do damage merely take up space.
