Of all the markets in the UK, Lidl is by far the best.Each week,you can expect new surprises and at prices that no other store dares compete with. Of course, i do not pretend that it is as big as Debenham's or its goods are of the same quality as Marks and Spencers', but it allows people who can't afford to go to restaurants every night and wear designer clothes, it is a store that comes straight from Heaven.You can find real bargains like telephones, bedside lamps, duvet covers, etc. And when it comes to fruit and vegetables, the prices are simply amazingly low.When I shop at Sainsbury's, I spend a lot and come back home with only a few things in my bag ,while at Lidl you can do a week's shopping at no risk of emptying your purse.For all these reasons, I consider Lidl to be the king of stores.

Basically good quality stuff at very affordable prices - especially like their continental chocolate and sausage. The presentation of the goods is less than attractive, but this does not concern me. The fruit and vegetables have improved in quality recently, though in the past often looked 'sad' and unappetising. I have a problem with the trolleys at my local store which always seem to 'swallow' my �1 coin and refuse to relinquish it again! There is also a car park attendant who scrutinises everyone that drives up and makes me feel most uncomfortable.

Biffo's topic on annoying /stupid phrases made me think of someething else that is stupid, and makes me and my daughter go into pleats laughing..have you ever bought a food product and on the packaging,along with calorie count,etc, it states ''serving suggestion'', then shows something perfectly obvious...for example, if its cakes, it says, ''serving suggestion,'' and a pic of the cakes on a plate!! oh thanks for that,we were thinking of dangling them from strings and trying to take bites out of them!!

Frankly some are just ridiculous and make me laugh out loud
