Just wondering if anyone else has used Abel & Cole before.

They are a company who deliver organic produce to your door of supposed quality products.

Never been so disgusted in a company before and closed my account stating quality as the reason and they didn't even bother to contact me.
The produce I received was terrible. I don't expect it to be perfect being organic and not shop graded but the apples were bruised and marked, the bananas were so green they glowed and when ripened tasted of wood (note they only sell in season produce supposedly), the garlic had seeded and was poor quality with one bulb being marked and bruised and the two bags of mushrooms were so battered that I only had around 20% of them actually whole.

Just wonder what experiences other people had had of this company?

I certainly wasn't surprised as the results of the latest research around child happiness whereby they looked at parents who had stayed together for the benefit of the kids. They found that the kids weren't happier and actually most of the cases the kids were actually harmed more by the parents staying together and arguing than the kids were in the group where the parents separated.

Is this really a surprise to people? Does it make anyone reconsider their current situation?

Following on from the news story this morning. After the father of a soldier killed recently was given only 1 days paid leave they are now seeking there to be a minimum paid bereavement leave for those who lose someone who is killed in action.

Now whilst I think that those who fight do a fantastic job and they and their families should be treated with all respect I don't think that women who said "its more traumatic for someone who loves a loved one in this way" referring to killed in a war when enlisted.

My issue is, this sets the request for a specific bereavement leave only for those who lose an enlisted person. Is there loss any greater than someone who loses a child or parent or a sibling etc. Not taking away from the families who have lost their loved on in a war I just don't think its respectful to those who have lost a loved one outside of war to imply that their loss is any less traumatic.

Shouldn't it be that the company who gave 1 day leave was a heartless bunch and sods and that there should be a minimum leave period for any loss of next of kin?

What are your thoughts?
