Yes but I also think a lot of parents inspire less respect. The way some parents and act and talk around their children I don't think they should be surprised if they don't get respect as children learn directly from their parents and mimick their behaviour. When the parents are disrepectful to each other thats what the child learns so its their own doing in most cases. The kids who I know who respect everyone and everything have learned it directly from their parents and I am embarrased by the way the parents talk to each other in front of me so would hate to know what goes on behind closed doors. The kids who I know who are extremely respectful are treated with respect by their parents and the parents treat each other with respect and always have their disagreements out of ear shot and sight of the child. There needs to be parenting classes so people stop stuffing up their kids through their lack of understanding of how kids learn and develop and what behaviour they should role model.
