When I go to my nearest cinema (cineworld) you are not allowed to take your own snacks with you.On the most recent visit a hot dog was £5.50 more than the price of the ticket!!!If you carry a bag with you the staff request to examine it and inform you that you are not allowed to take in any snacks you may have. They ask you to remove them and collect them after the showing.Surely wer'e not breaking any laws here!!You cant blame the staff as they are only following company policy!Infuryating!!!

No. They charge ridiculously high prices for rubbish food and so we should be allowed to take in our own snacks. The price of cinema tickets and the number of people going to cinema these days should mean the cinemas can survive without having to force us to buy their food. Sometimes you don't want popcorn or hot dogs or nachos - all full of sugar and nothing good in them.

What if someone's diabetic or has other health concerns and they can't eat the cinema snacks - where would that leave them?

NO - I hate the term 'nerds'- it's a way to outcast people who like playing online games, or to know about computer games etc. It doesn't make them any less human to be so into something they love.
