When I first joined Toluna, it was interesting and fun for a short while. I thought I'd get something out of the experience. What I really wanted was a tangible benefit, something to make the experience worthwhile. Within about 2 months I managed to get 30,000 points - enough points for a voucher. It felt like hard work just writing opinions and answering surveys and doing sponsored polls. I could have coped with that process for a few more months, if the prize at the end of it was a few more vouchers. However, now, the rules have undergone some changes. And not for the better. I think the rewards are a very limited range and you have to amass far too many points to get any benefit. Overall, I don't think it's a fair system. It would be better to increase the number of points awarded for creating/giving opinions and surveys or reduce the number of points needed to obtain a reward. What do you think? Are you in it for the points? Do you think it's worth it?

Just wondered how many people have had operations and how many have been lucky enough to get through life avoiding them. I'm in the unenviable position of having to undergo my first ever operation next week, and so I'm understandably starting to feel a little nervous about it. People tell me I'm lucky to have grown so old without ever having to have an operation so far, but right now I don't really feel like that, so I'll be interested to hear what other people think!
