i know it depends on the other person (and me!) but in general do they work?

They can do for a while but they are hard work and you really have to be committed to each-other

I try to spend as little energy a day as possible as for me a better place on Earth would be a less polluted world . For example I only take one shower per day and max for 10 minutes, I rarely take baths (maybe a couple of times per year), I use public transportation, I also use energy efficient lightbulbs and only have one room lit at a time at night. Last but not least I turn off my computer when I don't need it.

I try to conserve energy , use recycled goods whenever posible and recycle my own goods wherever poss - I also use public transport or walk - and my idea of a better world is one where there are no wars - where people are free to worship how they like without being blown up or killed because its not how others wld want them to worship. This is the only world we have - we have to look after it and live together in reasonable harmony.
