I'm going to see it tomorrow. I watched the 1st scene of it on the blu ray of batman begins this weekend, and now I cant wait.
Having heard so many good things about ledgers performance Im sure it is really good as he was (just had to delete is and put was) a great actor. I'm gonna wait until I see it before commenting on it though. I'm sure if he got nominated for the oscars then he will win, I cant see the yanks not giving it to him considering the circumstances regardless of who else is nominated. Have you seen it? What did you think?
Well it must be reasonably good as we seem to get a post on here nearly every day about it with people raving. I have heard that it is very violent and very graphic and that if people are taking their young kids to be aware that they may be upset by it. Also a few friends who have gone have thought that the 12 age limit is too low for it as they took nieces and nephews and the kids were a bit worked up over it. But the adults loved it and thought it was the best batman movie so far.
Before i write anything on this subject i would first like to say that i know people have different opinions and i completly understand that some people may not agree with me.
I was a vegetarian for 6 years, not a long time i know but it was long enough for me to discover and act on the reason for my dislike for meat.
In school i watched several video's about animal slaughter, it was an undercover reporter who was visiting different companies and pretending to be a new worker.
I was shocked to discover how animals are killed and treated in these slaughter houses.
The problem lies with the methods used to kill the animal before preperation for butcher. It showed how many (not just one or two) but many of the animals were not dead before they were butchered.
The pigs were given a shock in the head to knock them out. They were then strung upside down by their back legs on a revolving track. The pigs are then taken to an area where they have their throats cut and legs chopped off at the knee, they should be still knocked out in this area and they are meant to bleed to death before they ever wake up.
Shockingly i watched in horror as some pigs begin to wake up while they are still on the moving track, they struggle and one actually got free and fell a meter or so onto the floor. The men around were laughing and shocked it again and again before stringing it up again.
It was awful watching this and worse still when they showed the 'new worker' into the area where all the throats were cut. These pigs were not knocked out as they were cut, even after their legs were chopped they were still squealing and wriggling upside down while the workers just carried on. How do these people sleep at night?
I think there is no easy way to kill animals, but it has to be done if we are to eat meat. The main thing is to give the animal a good life, and then kill them as quickly as possible. I don;t think they should be lkilled within sight or sound of the other animals though, as that can induce fear in the animals waiting to be killed
Im not quite sure on this one. I think it all depends on whether the relationship was amicable or not. If one person still has feelings is difficult to have any sort of different relationship without one party becoming more hurt or confused. If the relationship just sort of fizzled out but you remained friends and there was still an attraction there then i guess its fine. I think it becomes complicated though when one person still has feelings because then theres always the hope it will develop into something more, but why would your ex come back to youb if theyre getting sex anyway while theyre free to see other people. I think its probably best to cut all sort of sexual contact if you want to remain friends
