I dont have any interest in football myself but I was thinking of adverts that have been on the TV over the last few years and the milk advert was the first one that came to mind with the little boy saying 'Accrington Stanley, who are they' in a very broad Lancashire accent .... I know I really should get out more !!!

I love Walls Mini Milk Ice-cream lollies but they as they have become so expensive buying them now is more of a luxury than a treat, so I know make my own in the ice cream machine, its really easy to do .....

All you need is a pint of semi skimmed milk, you can use full fat but the results arent as good, fresh soft fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, red or blackcurrants etc or bananas, mango in fact any fruit you can easily puree from poached, poach the fruit in a couple of tablespoons of water and a tablespoon of runny honey, puree and strain the fruit, except bananas which can be mashed and used uncooked, to remove any seeds and bits of skin and let it go cold.

Pour the chilled milk and cold fruit puree or mashed banana into the ice cream machine and set it to churn until it is quite thick but still liquid enough to pour. Turn off the machine, put the milk mixture into a jug and use to fill ice-lolly moulds, freeze until firm ........ You can use a good quality milkshake powder/syrup instead of fresh fruit but the results arent as good.

You can make double the number of 'Mini Milks' as you would get in a box for about half the price ..... And you know what has gone into them :O)
