My husband, son, family and i are going to spain for two weeks in july and are trying to get a plan together for each day. We are staying in a small town just outside Torrevieja (Torr- vee - eck - ah). All that i have at the moment is a trip to Terre Mitica (Theme park) and a water park just outside Torrevieja. Know of any other cool places?

I know of the Torrevieja area really well. There is a very nice beach nearby called Jessica Beach, which is in a place called Mil Palmeras, Pilar De La Horadada, you get to it by going down N332 away from Torrevieja, past the Cabo Roig area. Even if you don't particularly like beaches or sunbathing, it is just a nice area to visit. Other nice places in the are are Guadamar, which also has a very nice beach. I appreciate you have children so will probably not be into raging nightlife! - but there are many bars in areas such as The Filton Centre, which is a small commercial square in an area called Los Balcones, the Cabo Roig strip and Playa Flamenca Commercial Centre. People have actually said that Playa Flamenca may be rough, but I have been there many times and have never seen any trouble. Villamartin Plaza is another main square that has many bars. Villamartin is a few kilometres from Torrevieja and is well-known as a high-class area that has a golf course nearby. If you're going to Terra Mitica, you may also want to check out Benidorm which is nearby - very touristy but the New York City of the Costa Blanca! Hope this has helped a bit, have a really great holiday.

So many, so many. Ok lets start, spitting, throwing rubbish out of cars, not cleaning up after dog poop, staff talking to each other and ignoring customers waiting, staff talking to someone else while serving me, rude people, people with no manners, people who push infront in lines, people who pull out of side roads and block the main flow of traffic, kids running wild in restaurants and disturbing other patrons. The list goes on and on. Generally though I just take a deep breath and look the other way as not worth getting worked up over.
