No, its no different now than it was when I was in school. There are a number of problems though with the fact that during their holidays they are more of a hindrance and annoyance to the general public than they ever used to be as they don't seem able or interested in entertaining themselves in productive ways. I also don't know how parents cope who have to work as childcare is difficult and expensive and as someone sad if you go back a generation or two the people who had children were in a position where normally the wife was at home and her role was to look after the house and children. Now with people having children and needing to work to financially support them I don't know how they cope with the kids when they are on holidays which I think is part of the problem of kids not entertaining themselves and I remember holidays being a time when I helped mum around the house with baking and painting etc but it was with her doing it with me. In saying that maybe its that people should wait before having children till they are in a financial position to not have to rush back to work to support them or would that mean that people could never afford have children in today's society?

I think when I was at school we got more than they do now. we used to get 3 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 7 weeks in the summer
